General Items
- Consult with a healthcare provider for treatment options
- Document findings and symptoms in the medical record
- Consider potential need for follow-up appointments
Clinical Symptoms
- Assess for fever (temperature > 37.8°C)
- Check for new or worsening dysuria
- Look for increased urinary frequency
- Identify any urgency in urination
- Determine presence of suprapubic pain
- Assess for flank pain or costovertebral angle tenderness
- Evaluate for confusion or altered mental status

Laboratory Tests

- Look for the presence of bacteria in urine
